Exporting your reports

MileLedger offers three export presets on iOS: Accountant CSV (free), Schedule C style (Premium), and Share This Period (Premium). The web app downloads a free CSV at any time. PDF exports require Premium on iOS.

iOS export presets

Accountant CSV (free) — exports a structured CSV file containing drives and expenses for the selected period. This format is designed to be shared with an accountant or imported into a spreadsheet.

Schedule C style (Premium) — exports a CSV formatted to mirror Schedule C categories, grouping expenses by business-use type. Requires an active Premium subscription.

Share This Period (Premium) — exports the current period's data as a shareable package. Requires Premium.

PDF export (Premium)

Tapping the PDF option on the Reports screen requires a Premium subscription. The PDF includes your mileage summary, expense breakdown, and rate information formatted for printing or sharing.

If you are on the free tier, tapping PDF will present the upgrade paywall.

Web CSV export (free)

On the web at /app/reports, tap Export CSV to download mileledger-export.csv. This file includes all synced drives and expenses in a flat CSV with columns: type, date, label, miles_or_amount, categorization.

No subscription is required for the web CSV export.

Steps to export on iOS

Open the Reports tab and scroll to the Export Expenses section.

Select the period using the period chips at the top.

Tap the export preset you want (Accountant CSV, Schedule C, or Share This Period). If the preset requires Premium and you are on the free tier, the paywall will appear.

For CSV: tap Share to send the file via AirDrop, Mail, or any other iOS share target.

For PDF: after generating (Premium only), use the share sheet to save or send the PDF.
