How expenses works in practice

A single searchable ledger

Expenses live in one list you can search by merchant, note, or category. Month headers and totals show how the period is shaping up without exporting to a spreadsheet every Friday.

Business versus personal tags keep reimbursable and deductible candidates separate from household spend that happened to run through the same card.

Filters that match how you actually work

Jump to meals, fuel, supplies, or custom categories when you need a slice of the month. The missing-receipt filter surfaces business expenses that still need an attachment—useful before a reimbursement deadline or quarterly check-in.

Edit any expense later: amount, category, categorization, notes, and attachments. Corrections are part of normal bookkeeping, not a special “fix later” pile.

Connect spend to the miles that earned it

When an expense belongs to a client visit or job-site day, linking it to the related trip keeps mileage and spend in one narrative. That connection makes reports easier to explain and reduces the “which day was this for?” scramble in March.

Free plans include a capped number of expense records; Premium removes the ceiling so high-volume months do not force you into a second app.
