PDF vs CSV — what's free and what requires Premium
CSV exports are available to everyone. The Accountant CSV preset is always free. Premium unlocks the Schedule C style CSV, the date-range Share preset, and PDF report generation.
Free export options
Accountant CSV — a structured comma-separated file covering your drives and expenses. Available to all users regardless of subscription.
Web CSV (mileledger-export.csv) — downloadable at /app/reports for signed-in users at no charge.
Premium export options
Schedule C style CSV — groups your expenses by Schedule C category labels. Requires Premium.
Share This Period CSV — exports the currently selected period as a standalone CSV for sharing. Requires Premium.
PDF report — generates a formatted PDF of your mileage and expense report. Requires Premium.
Why some exports are Premium-only
The Schedule C and date-range share presets involve additional formatting and computation. PDF generation also requires additional processing. These features are part of the Premium tier to help support ongoing development.
