Expense snapshot
The expense snapshot on the iOS Reports screen gives a quick total of logged expenses for the chosen period and highlights expenses that are missing receipts.
What the snapshot shows
Total amount of all logged expenses within the selected period.
A breakdown by top expense categories — e.g., Fuel, Parking, Tolls — so you can see where money was spent.
A missing-receipts count: expenses that have no attached receipt photo or scan. Tap the alert to jump directly to those expenses.
Missing receipts alert
If any expenses lack a receipt, a banner in the snapshot section shows how many are outstanding. Tap it to open the expenses list pre-filtered to only receipts-missing items.
Adding receipts before exporting ensures your records are complete for review by an accountant or for your own tax preparation.
Period filter
Like the mileage journey card, the expense snapshot respects the period chip selected at the top of the Summaries screen (This Year / Last Year / All Time).
Important notes
- Free accounts are limited to 10 logged expenses. If you've reached that limit, upgrade to Premium for unlimited expense logging.
- Expense totals reflect amounts as entered and are not validated against receipts automatically. Always review before filing.
