What is MileLedger?

MileLedger helps individuals and self-employed professionals record every business drive and work-related expense in one place. Whether you freelance, drive for clients, manage a small business, or simply want an accurate mileage log, MileLedger keeps the details organised so you don't have to.

The phone app is the hub of MileLedger. You record drives, log expenses, add vehicles, and generate reports — all from the app. A web app at mileledger.app/app lets you review and export your synced data from any browser without installing anything.

MileLedger is built on a local-first architecture using SwiftData. Your drives and expenses are saved directly on your phone the moment you record them — no internet connection required. If you sign in with Google, MileLedger syncs your data to Firebase so you can access it on the web and restore it if you get a new phone.

You can use MileLedger indefinitely without ever creating an account. Signing in is optional for drive tracking, but required to log expenses.

The phone app has five main areas: Home (your dashboard and recent activity), Drives (your full trip history), Expenses (work-related spending), Reports (summaries and exports), and More (settings, vehicles, account, and subscription).

The web app at mileledger.app/app is a read-only view of your synced data. You can browse trips and expenses, filter by date or category, and export records to CSV. No new data can be created or edited on the web — all recording happens on the phone.

If you don't have an account yet, the web app offers a demo (demo mode) so you can explore the interface before committing.

MileLedger is free to download. Free users enjoy unlimited drive tracking and free CSV exports. Expense logging is available on the Free plan up to 10 expenses. Upgrading to Premium removes the expense limit and adds PDF report exports. Premium is available as a monthly or yearly subscription purchased through the App Store.
