Editing a vehicle

You can edit any vehicle's details at any time — nickname, make, model, year, license plate, or odometer. Existing drives and expenses linked to the vehicle are not affected by name changes.

Steps

    Open the vehicle

    Tap More → Vehicles, then tap the vehicle you want to edit.

    Tap Edit

    Tap the Edit button (pencil icon) in the top-right corner of the vehicle detail screen.

  3. 3

    Update the fields

    Change any of: Nickname, Make, Model, Year, License Plate, or Odometer reading. All fields except Nickname are optional.

    Save

    Tap Save. The updated vehicle details are reflected throughout the app immediately.

Expected results

  • The vehicle list and any reports referencing the vehicle show the updated nickname.
  • Existing drives and expenses remain linked to the vehicle — only the display name changes.

Important notes

  • Renaming a vehicle does not unlink any drives or expenses already associated with it.
