Mileage journey card
The mileage journey card on the iOS Reports screen shows total, business, and personal miles for the selected period, plus a per-mile value estimate. Numbers update live when you change the period chip.
What the card shows
Total miles driven during the selected period (This Year / Last Year / All Time), split into Business and Personal.
An estimated mileage value calculated as: business miles × the active mileage rate. The active rate is set in Settings → Mileage Rates.
A progress bar or visual split showing the business-vs-personal proportion.
Changing the period
Tap any period chip — This Year, Last Year, or All Time — at the top of the Summaries screen. The mileage journey card recalculates instantly to match the selected window.
For a finer date range (e.g., a specific quarter or month), open the full report sheet by tapping the report button, which supports custom date ranges.
How mileage is counted
Only drives that have been categorized as Business contribute to the deductible mileage figure. Uncategorized drives are excluded from business totals until you categorize them.
Distance is recorded in meters internally and converted to miles (or kilometres if metric units are enabled in Settings).
Important notes
- The estimated value figure uses your active mileage rate, which defaults to $0.70/mi. This is an estimate only — not tax advice.
- Uncategorized drives do not appear in business mileage totals. Review and categorize all drives before tax season.
