Set up your profile

Your MileLedger profile is created automatically when you sign in with Google. Your display name and profile picture come directly from your Google account. You can view account details and manage your session from More → Account.

Prerequisites

  • MileLedger installed on phone.
  • Signed in with a Google account.

Steps

    Open your account details on phone

    Tap More in the tab bar at the bottom of the screen. Tap Account near the top of the More screen. Your Google display name, email address, and profile picture are shown here.

    Review your display name

    MileLedger pulls your display name directly from your Google account. Whatever name is set on your Google profile appears as your MileLedger name. If you want to change the display name shown in MileLedger, update it in your Google account settings at myaccount.google.com — the change will be reflected in MileLedger after your next sign-in.

    View your account email

    Your linked Google email address is shown on the Account screen. This is the email associated with your MileLedger data. All synced drives and expenses belong to this account.

    View account details on the web app

    On the web app at mileledger.app/app, your Google display name and profile picture appear in the top-right corner of the navigation bar after sign-in. Click your avatar to see your account information or sign out.

    Sign out

    On phone, tap More → Account → Sign Out. On the web, click your avatar in the top-right corner and click Sign Out. Signing out disconnects the Google sync but does not delete your locally stored phone data.

Expected results

  • Your Google display name and profile picture appear correctly in MileLedger.
  • Your linked Google email address is visible on the Account screen.
  • You can sign out from both phone and the web app without losing locally stored data.

Important notes

  • MileLedger does not let you set a custom display name independently of Google. Your name in the app always reflects your Google account name.
  • There is no option to add a phone number or link Apple/Facebook within MileLedger. Email/password accounts are created at sign-up; use Forgot password to reset.
  • Deleting your Google account will also remove your ability to access synced MileLedger data. Always export your data to CSV before making changes to your Google account.

Common problems

My display name is wrong in MileLedger.

MileLedger uses the display name from your Google account. Update your name at myaccount.google.com, then sign out of MileLedger and sign back in to refresh your profile.

I can't find the Account screen.

Tap the More tab (the last icon in the bottom tab bar). The Account option appears near the top. If you are not signed in, you will see a Sign In button instead.
