Deleting your account and data

You can wipe all local data from your device at any time without contacting support. If you are signed in, you can also request deletion of your cloud data. Both actions are irreversible — export a backup first if you want to keep a copy.

Steps

  1. 1

    Export a backup (optional)

Before wiping data, go to More → About → Export JSON backup to save a copy of your core records. Note that receipt images, app settings, budgets, recurring rules, custom categories, and merchants are not in that file.

  2. 2

    Wipe all local data

Go to More → Settings → Data → Wipe All Local Data. Confirm the destructive action when prompted. All drives, expenses, vehicles, mileage rates, and settings are deleted from the device immediately.

  3. 3

    Delete cloud data (signed-in users)

If you are signed in, go to More → Account → Delete Account. This removes your cloud-synced data from Firebase and unlinks your Google account from MileLedger. This action cannot be undone.

Expected results

  • After wiping local data, the app resets to the first-run state.
  • After deleting your account, your Google account is unlinked and cloud data is removed.

Important notes

  • Wiping local data does not delete your cloud data if you are signed in. Use Delete Account to remove cloud data.
  • Deleting your account does not cancel an active Premium subscription — manage subscriptions separately in the App Store. See "Managing your subscription" for details.
  • These actions are permanent. There is no undo.
