Linking an expense to a trip
Any expense can be linked to one of your 40 most recent trips, keeping related mileage and cost data together. Parking and toll expenses can optionally sync their amount to the linked trip.
Steps
- 1
Open the expense editor
Create a new expense or tap Edit on an existing one.
- 2
Tap Link Trip
Scroll to the "Link Trip" field and tap it to open the trip picker.
- 3
Select a trip
The picker shows your 40 most recent trips ordered by date. Tap the trip you want to associate with this expense.
- 4
Parking and toll sync (optional)
If the expense category is Parking or Tolls, you will see an option to sync the expense amount (in cents) to the linked trip. Enable this toggle if you want the trip record to reflect the exact parking or toll cost.
- 5
Save
Save the expense. It is now linked and visible from the trip's detail screen.
Important notes
- Only the 40 most recent trips are available in the picker. If your trip is older, locate it first in the Trips tab and add the expense from there.
- An expense can be linked to only one trip at a time.
- Unlinking a trip does not delete the expense; it simply removes the association.
