Restoring purchases
If you reinstall MileLedger or switch to a new phone and your Premium subscription is not active, use Restore Purchases to re-link your App Store subscription to the app.
Steps
- 1
Open More → Get Premium
Tap the More tab and then Get Premium (or tap the paywall that appears when logging an expense).
- 2
Tap Restore Purchases
Tap the Restore Purchases link at the bottom of the paywall screen.
- 3
Authenticate if prompted
iOS may ask you to authenticate with your Apple ID. Use the account that holds the original purchase.
- 4
Wait for confirmation
MileLedger contacts the App Store to verify your subscription. If an active subscription is found, Premium is unlocked within a few seconds.
Expected results
- If an active subscription exists on your Apple ID, Premium features are restored immediately.
- If no active subscription is found, the paywall remains and a message indicates no active purchases were found.
Important notes
- Restore Purchases only works for subscriptions purchased with the Apple ID currently signed in to the App Store on this device.
- MileLedger cannot manually grant Premium access outside the App Store purchase system.
Common problems
Restore completes but Premium is still not active
Ensure you are signed in with the same Apple ID used to make the original purchase. Check your App Store subscriptions at Settings (iOS) → [Your Name] → Subscriptions to confirm the subscription is active and has not expired.
Restore button is greyed out or missing
Make sure you have an internet connection and that your Apple ID is signed in on the device under iOS Settings → [Your Name].
